Although Bill left the business, he and Mike remained close friends until Bill’s untimely passing from cancer. Fittingly, the two reunited for one final, unforgettable event — celebrating Bill’s life with the music and energy that started it all.

About SpectraSound
I am often reminded of the saying that people do business with those whom they know, like and trust. This is always in the forefront of my mind as I work with new clients.
Our Story
SpectraSound began in the fall of 1986 with two friends, Mike and Bill, who shared a deep love for all kinds of music. When asked to provide music for a local benefit, they combined their home sound systems, record collections, and a newly purchased RadioShack microphone and mixer. The result? A packed dance floor, smiling faces, and an unforgettable night.
Guests kept asking for business cards, and although it had only started as a favor, the response was overwhelming: “You guys are really good — you should be in business!” That encouragement led to the official launch of SpectraSound in January 1987.
The early years were fast-paced as business took off quickly. Though Bill eventually stepped away for personal reasons, Mike carried the torch, launching a successful advertising campaign that ran from 1989 to 1991. By 1992,
word-of-mouth had become SpectraSound’s greatest marketing tool — and still is today.
Many of our original clients remain with us decades later, and through their referrals, SpectraSound has become a trusted, multi-generational part of countless celebrations. We are proud to have grown and evolved with the trends while always staying true to what matters most: creating amazing memories through music.
